Domestic FAST Tactical Helmets Are Becoming Increasingly Mature, with Comprehensive Integrated Headgear Equipment

Aug 26, 2025

The FAST helmet first came into public view in 2006. Later, it gained popularity worldwide starting from U.S. military special forces, and has since been equipped by nearly all special forces units and SWAT teams. Traditional helmet designs served merely as protective devices, rather than being regarded as integrated load-bearing systems. In contrast, this new-type helmet-the FAST helmet-incorporates rails and hook-and-loop fasteners (Velcro), explicitly designed to mount tactical accessories such as night-vision goggles and headlamps, thereby enhancing special operations capabilities. Its original design intention was to meet the growing demand for integrated headgear equipment among soldiers currently deployed in combat zones. It is important to note that tactical accessories are of great significance to special forces, as they can adapt to a variety of different operational environments.

FAST is the abbreviation of Future Assault Shell Technology. It not only meets protective requirements but also takes into account integration and addresses the needs and impacts of mounting various equipment on soldiers' heads, such as: communication headsets with headbands or earmuffs/electronic hearing protection devices, night-vision devices, tactical lights, cameras, eye protection systems, face shields, oxygen masks, NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) masks, filter masks, battery packs, and so on.

Nowadays, most countries' military forces are developing new-type helmets, among which the U.S. military's FAST-style helmet is the most well-known and at the forefront of the helmet era. Future world warfare will place greater emphasis on informatization; for soldiers, efficiently acquiring information determines the success or failure of operations. China's development of

new-type FAST-style helmets is also to adapt to the development of the times, and how to create FAST-style helmets that highly integrate and balance informatization and protection is the direction all countries are striving for.

The following FAST helmet is a newly developed FAST Lightweight Rapid-Response Bulletproof Helmet by Henan Guodu Times. It is pressed from PE (High-Performance Polyethylene Fiber), featuring excellent bulletproof performance. Tactical rails are installed on both sides and the front of the helmet respectively, allowing for the mounting of night-vision devices, communication headsets, flashlights, etc., as needed. The communication mounting function enhances the helmet's usability under various conditions. The helmet accessories adopt flexible-selective memory foam, ensuring comfortable wearing, and their positions can be appropriately adjusted according to the size of the helmet.
