For decades, the standard combat uniform of the Cuban Armed Forces has been olive green.

Elm leaf shape camouflage

The camouflage pattern of early Cuban design was the so-called "elm leaf" pattern.

It is an overlay design of black and brown shades on a green background that creates the shape of an elm leaf.

This model was used as early as the late 1960s and was used until the 1980s,

But only to the special forces of the Cuban Ministry of the Interior.

Cuban gray lizard camouflage pattern

The Cuban gray lizard pattern appeared in the 1970s.

Based on the French "lizard" camouflage design, it has been used to this day.

A medium gray background composed of dark gray and golden brown or brown stripes.

This design is famous for its use by Cuban Southern African consultants.

Border guards at Guantanamo Bay were also allotted.

This design was also adopted by the Angolan People's Liberation Army and contemporary Angolan forces.
